Multiplayer Game

Goals in the Multiplayer Game

The goal in the multiplayer game is to either destroy any enemies or keep the enemies from the zeppelins, which have to be conquered, until they exceed the Zeppelins time-out defeat delay (see below) and thus lose the game.

You can receive reinforcements once, if you conquer all zeppelins of the same colour.

Start Multiplayer Game

  1. Select Multiplayer in the main menu. The main multiplayer menu will appear.
  2. In the main multiplayer menu you can either select an existing player name from the list or add a new player name by selecting Add.

On the left-hand side you can choose your connection for the multiplayer game. The following connection types are available:

-          IPX/SPX (Local): Connection via IPX/SPX protocol; for local connections, this should especially be used by older computers

-          Modem: Direct line to another computer

-          TCP/IP (Internet/Local): Connection via TCP/IP protocol; this has to be set for a local or Internet connection and should be used if possible.

! Important !                  You should use TCP/IP as your connection type for the demo!

All players taking part in the same game should choose the same connection type.

There is more information which can be entered here (Clan, URL, etc.). This will not be be described further in this document, though.

The main multiplayer screen

Creating a Multiplayer Game

As soon as you've chosen a name and set the connection type, you can select Create to create a new multiplayer game.

-          Zeppelins inactivity period: Sets the time after the start of a multiplayer game during which no zeppelins may be captured.

-          Zeppelin capture delay: Here you can set how long a player needs to wait by the zeppelin until it is captured.

-          Zeppelins time-out defeat delay: Here you can set the time within which the player has to conquer at least one zeppelin so he doesn't lose the game.
